We're fascinated by the world of mycology, and the creative potential it holds. From Gordon Wasson to Paul Stamets and even Terence McKenna. That's why we were thrilled to partner with Bolt Threads to produce a time-lapse animation of fungi growing on a petri dish. We explored a variety of growth ideas and environmental treatments to bring this project to life, creating a range of captivating forms and colors for the client to choose from. Our biggest challenge? Ensuring that the final product was true to the brand's vision while avoiding any "scary science" vibes. Utilizing the client's color palette and keeping things light and playful, we delivered assets that ensured their product launch was a success.
